Port Kennedy Association Inc. After School Care Program Philosophy:

After school care aims to provide children with a sense of belonging, not just to a family, but to an entire community

After school care designs activities and provides an environment that meets the emotional, physical and development needs of children

 

Port Kennedy Association Inc. After School Care program aims:  

To deliver a service for school children who are aged 5 to 12 years which will encompass cultural, sporting, artistic and development activities 

To provide a safe and secure physical environment in which children can participate in a range of developmental activities

To offer a range of activities and opportunities for stimulating play that is appropriate to the varying age levels of the children attending the program

To provide activities that children will enjoy, that will challenge the child and will encourage creative expression

To create opportunities for children to develop self-confidence and self-esteem

To deliver a program that the staff, children, parents and the community share ideas, skills, resources and where parents are encouraged to actively participate in the running of the program

 

Who can use the Port Kennedy Association Inc. After School Care program?

  • Children whose parent/s or primary carer/s are in full-time employment 
  • Children whose parents live with a disability
  • Children who are at risk 

 

How do I register for Port Kennedy Association Inc. After School Care program? 

Parents or guardians must complete and return a consent and registration form

This form must be lodged prior to a child’s participation in the After School Care Program. 

What are the hours of operation for the Port Kennedy Inc. After School Care program?

The After School Care program operates between the hours of 3.00pm and 6.00pm on any school day between Monday and Friday during school terms

Children participating the After School Care program will be picked up from their school, and can be collected by their parent or guardian between 5.00pm and 6.00pm, otherwise we will drop off at the child’s home after 5.00pm.
